September Goal Party – A Lovely Year of Finishes

Welcome to September, the start of school (at least in Washington), the start of autumn (definitely in Washington), and for me…the start of my Christmas sewing! I probably should have started months ago, but I’ve had A LOT going on. My goal for September is to quilt my Vintage Christmas Sampler – if I am feeling scrappy I might even bind it, but my actual goal is to simply get it quilted.  All of the tutorials for these blocks are available on my blog, just follow the link above and remember, they were all written for a scant 1/4″ seam!

This quilt could easily be made modern with some different fabric choices, but I went with what I had in my stash at the time. I cannot wait to snuggle underneath this at Christmas!

Your turn!

What one item will you choose to do for September?

You have two requirements to be entered into the prizes this month.

1. Link-up {on this post} the first 7-days of the month

and

2. Link-up in the last 7-days of the month.

Add your blog post or flickr photo (with appropriate descriptions) to the linky party below.

Please grab a button or link back to Shanna and I so other people can join in the fun!

**Please note, the linky party is the same here and over at Shanna, so there is no need to enter twice **

For those unsure of how to link up go check out our Q&A Page for A Lovely Year of Finishes – there are instructions on how to link up from a blog and from Flickr.

Grab a button from my sidebar and spread the LOVE!

Can’t wait to see you place this one in the completed column! It would not be vintage if you had used more modern prints 🙂

Hoping to get my goal post up tomorrow.

Darn! I got preoccupied tonight and missed the deadline. But no matter–your Lovely Year has me thinking about finishes, and I’m going to plug away at my personal September goal. As always, thanks very much to you both for the motivation that has carried me from my many, many starts to a few actual finishes in 2013.
