Have I mentioned before that I’m a stripper. Yes, I said Stripper! And not only that but I joined a group of strippers too!
I got to give my row in person to my fellow stripper Jovanna a couple of weeks ago when I met her and the lovely Shanna in person! I love meeting my online friends in person. Anne fell instantly in love with the both of them and we had a lovely afternoon together. I also received Shanna’s amazing row in person that day, check it out below!
Holy Buckets Batman, isn’t it just STUNNING!!! Do you see the lovely curved block smack in the middle? Remember it for later.
The first order of business was to select fabrics. I had to head to my favorite LQS, Ruby Street Quiltworks to pick up a couple of browns, but the rest I had on hand.
Next order of business, test blocks. Shanna’s only requirements are that each block contain a triangle and be between 12″ and 14′ finished.
I started making test blocks using the new Hex N More Ruler by Jaybird Quilts (look for a review to come soon) and I also made one using my wonderful 60 degree diamond ruler.
My favorite test block so far is the one that I designed using the Quick Curve Ruler (look for a tutorial some day soon!)
So here’s my progress so far as a stripper. What do you think?
In other news, my appointment on Monday was thoroughly depressing and I will be having 4 more subsequent follow up appointments over the course of the next 3 weeks. Wish me luck!
Don’t forget to enter the giveaway from Fat Quarter Shop, it ends tomorrow night!
every single block on this post is awesome.
so sorry to hear about the bad report but hopefully things will come together at the other visits.
I like your blocks – those curved ones are my favorite…keep your head up, hopefully things will improve soon! =)

Beautiful blocks. I’m still in love with that blue and black one. 🙂
Sorry about your appointment! I hope the follow ups are better.
You are a fabulous stripper! Giggle! I love your blocks, and I’m looking forward to the tutorials coming in the future. I think it would be wonderful to meet some of my bloggie friends!
I’m praying for those next appointments….hope they go better than the last one. Hugs!
I am Shocked, and Amazed at the same time 😉 Ha ha!
