Bordering Up

This week I have diligently working away at adding borders to my purple and gray bee block quilt for my mom as my finish for April, A Lovely Year of Finishes. It is amazing how easily I get distracted when I am doing simple straight line sewing!!! It has literally taken me a day per border. Where I stand right now, is I have one border left to add, I guess that means I will make my goal this month! Hooray! I was thinking I might quilt this one next month, but I am also leaning towards quilting the chemo quilt – blogged about here. I know I won’t be able to finish it by mother’s day but I would love to give it to my mom in the month of May. I already have an awesome backing for both quilts so I’m ready to go…decision decisions!

Anyhoo! Here is a pick of me pinning away on my purple and gray quilt.

Don’t forget you can link up your progress on April’s A Lovely Year of Finishes here!

What is it about borders? I’m not crazy about doing them, and it takes me forever, too! And that’s just plain borders. =) Love the purple.
