Preschool Quilt Unveiling

This past weekend my father flew in from California and surprised Anne.  Monday night was dad’s night at her preschool and he didn’t want her to have to go alone, since her daddy is still away with work.  I swear he is the most wonderful grandpa in the world!

We spent the weekend bowling and doing “man chores” around the house. I’m not going to lie, it was pretty nice having someone here to help me for a couple days! Plus I love spending time with my daddy!

Preschool Quilts - https://www.sewbittersweetdesigns.comThey only had room to display 3 of the quits at a time. I do love how the turned out and I’m quite proud of them. I sincerely hope that this turns out to be a great fundraiser for the school.  The scholarship fund needs the help!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

Those quilts did turn out well. Are the children’s names under their handprint?

The quilts are beautiful and I love them displayed that way. Here’s hoping a lot of tickets sell. If I send you money, could you buy tickets for me? I’m so glad your dad was able to stay for a couple of days and help out a little – and just be there to listen to you, give you a hug.

  4. What a wonderful man to be there for his granddaughter!
That was a warm fuzzy to hear about!

What a kind and generous grandfather Anne has. She must have been ecstatic! I love the picture with the quilt in the background. You are such a wonderful young woman. I am glad your Daddy is there for you. I also want to thank your husband for his service. I’m sorry he had to miss out in all the fun.

  11. Your dad is a rockstar! I cried when I saw that photo on Facebook. AM has a wonderful support system of love surrounding her.

You, my dear, are also a rockstar! I only had to make 2 handprint quilts per year when my boys were in kindergarten and that was stressful enough to give me a great appreciation for these 4 you made with quick turnaround. I’m sure the all the parents and grandparents loved them!!!

So thrilled Anne has your dad not only to be a grandpa but as a father-stand-in. It something that just can’t be replaced, described or too appreciated. The quilts are lovely!
