Fresh off the frame!

I finished quilting my first quilt on Spike yesterday! I am super excited!

I am going to admit right now that I thought the backing was going to look terrible, mostly because it is navy and I used white thread, so I figured every bobble and misstep would show up. I have to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the back!

Yellow Gray and Aqua backing - https://www.sewbittersweetdesigns.comI love how it looks! This is an extra wide backing by Tula Pink. I got it at my local quilt shop, Ruby Street Quiltworks and I’m just so happy.

Here’s a look at the front.

Yellow Gray and Aqua Front - https://www.sewbittersweetdesigns.comSorry for how dark it is, the lighting wasn’t so great in my house yesterday.

Today I am going to trim two quilts, and regroup to figure out what’s next.

Have a fabulous weekend!

Yay! First milestone! The back looks awesome and I was happy to be able to click to enlarge it and see a closer picture. What a wonderful look it has – you can use this one on either side. I’m sure you have friends who would volunteer “practice” tops for you. LOL
