The Christmas Tree block from my Vintage Christmas Sampler is one of the blocks that I designed myself. It is a very simple block to make. As always, I am a visual learner and have a photo tutorial for you.
Get the know how after the jump! You will need a small amount of Brown, Green & Red fabrics. All seams are 1/4″.
Let’s start with our Half Square Triangles (HSTs)
Pair up the red and green squares and make 6 HSTs (this is the hardest part!)
Cut the rest of your shapes – then assemble your rows!
How crazy is that! All pictures! This is one of the easiest blocks to assemble and is essential for any Christmas Sampler Quilt!

How cute! I’m visual learner too, so this is perfect! Thanks for sharing!
Quilting by the River
Very easy to follow- another one I’ll have to try soon!
So clever – just had a peek at your VCS and the blocks look incredible. May have to have a go at one myself.
I really like this one!
Love this block!! I will definitely be making one. Perhaps I could applique some little ornaments on it! 🙂
